Sir,

We thank the authors for their comments on our article titled “Myxomatous form of lupus vulgaris in ear: A rare presentation.” As the authors have mentioned, HIV and tuberculosis concurrence is common in India, and screening for tuberculosis in HIV-infected individuals and HIV testing in all tuberculosis cases are routinely done before starting treatment in India, especially in all tertiary care hospitals. Our patient was immunocompetent, and we missed to mention about the HIV status of the patient in our article. She was not on any immunosuppressive drugs. Our patient had lupus vulgaris for longer duration without any clinical evidence of systemic involvement and later went for cutaneous dissemination.
